Bra Trend #2: New Look in Lingerie Models

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

Expectant moms are often described as radiant, but who knew they’d shine their brightest in lingerie? Bella Materna’s runway models at the Lingerie Americas New York trade show this summer were stunning. I watched as bra buyers, usually surrounded by spray-tanned, uber-thin models, were treated to a new site: real pregnant women in the finest maternity wear. Bella Materna’s five year old Seattle-based business is booming, with women snapping up their sexy and fully functional lacy nursing bras, cute camis, nursing sports bras and loungewear. Their transitional maternity line was created to outfit the morphing mommy-body from zero to delivery and back again.

Even when you’re not pregnant, finding the right fit can be the biggest challenge in buying a bra. No worries, since Bella Materna keeps a fit specialist on hand five days a week.  You’ll find bras ranging from 32-40, in C-G cups. And even if you order the wrong size, they’ve got a quick and easy return policy. Bella Materna is definitely on the cutting edge of a new trend in bump-inspired lingerie. Friday, September 8th, 2006

What can voluptuous women look forward to buying — in their bra size — next season? Style, lace, retro prints, bold colors; and even amazing feats of engineering providing greater shape and support.  Wandering through the 250+ booths at the Lingerie Americas and Boutique Lingerie trade shows in New York last month, your bOOb Lady made some bodacious foundation findings: (more…)

Bouncin’ Boobies

Friday, June 9th, 2006

According to the Shockabsorber company in the UK, some 73% of all women who exercise don’t wear a sports bra. To show how our breasts move when active, they’ve created a “bounce-o-meter” at their website.  You choose the size of your breasts (A-H), activity level (yoga to running), and they generate a 3-D animated video of your breasts in motion.  You’ll see what happens to your breasts (a) without a bra, (b) with a normal bra on, or (c) wearing the Shockabsorber sports bra.  A real eye-opening (ouch!) experience.
Shockabsorber bras come in sizes up to 36G.  If you need a larger size sports bra, check out Less Bounce, which carries all sizes, up to a 52G.
Check out these sites and you’ll be good to your girls when exercising!
