About The bOOb Lady

My name is Elisabeth Squires. I’m the mother of three and the daughter of a breast-cancer survivor. I am the self-proclaimed Boob Lady and my mission is to get women to appreciate their breasts, learn more about them and be comfortable with them. Over the years I’ve written stories and observations about my own breasts, about how they, and my attitudes toward them, have changed throughout my life. When I encouraged my friends to do the same, I found they had similar stories to tell. Some loved their breasts while others found them awkward, uncomfortable and even embarrassing. These “mammoirs” have formed the basis for my book, bOObs: A Guide to Your Girls, to be published by Seal Press in October 2007. It includes advice from experts (doctors, lingerie fitters, trainers, etc.) on how to put your best breast forward at every stage of your life. To learn more and to join in the dialogue, visit me at Booksonboobs, read my Boob Talk column, or email me at mammoirs@gmail.com.
