Hi Gail. You can pick up my book: “bOObs: a Guide to Your Girls” at your local bookstore or order it on-line from various book retailers via my website, http://www.booksonboobs.com/?order.htm. Thanks for being good to your girls!

I do not have the money for a reduction and do not know when I will and I have moved to Charleston SC where I do not know anyone. I am unable to work. If I could afford one, some day, how do I know how to find a good doctor? Since I am new to this area, I can not go with “word of mouth”. I loved you on Tyra and wish with all my heart I was the woman getting the reduction.
I would like to know how to fit my Bra size. I know it is wrong.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Christie. You can learn more about plastic surgeons and where to find one in your area by visiting the American Society of Plastic Surgeons website (http://www.plasticsurgery.org/). In some cases, health insurance will pay for your reduction. You can also chat with other women about their experiences with breast reduction surgery at http://www.breastreduction4you.com/forum.
My best advice on getting properly fitted for a bra is to seek out a lingerie specialist who has seen alot of boobs and knows the bra business thoroughly (whether it be at a large department store or a small boutique). You should be measured at least once a year, given that our bodies (and breasts) are in a constant state of flux. Another measuring method that many women have found useful is Size Me Up (found at http://www.getsizedup.com/default.aspx). Let me know if you any other questions and if any of this info helps!
